Our Story

We first crossed paths in the fall of 2018, both newly single and fresh out of college. We happened to pass each other on the streets of New York City when Tori — fresh off a Lafayette tailgate — made a comment to Tyler and his friends about being from Westchester. One thing led to another, and she followed them to a bar. We didn’t spend much time together that night, but Tori remembers thinking, “I think he’s really cute — and looks like a celebrity.”

Two years later, Tyler asked Tori out on a first date. It was short and sweet (thanks to COVID), but we instantly clicked — the conversation just flowed. We bonded over our shared motivation and love for fitness, and quickly discovered some funny, oddly specific things we had in common: our mutual obsession with white pizza and white chocolate. It felt easy, natural, and like we’d known each other much longer than just one date.

As we got to know each other, we realized how small the world can be. When Tyler came to Tori’s house for the first time, he realized he’d actually been there years earlier for a party. It turned out we grew up just one town apart — our paths crossing long before we officially started ours together.

Our Adventures Begin

During the early days of the pandemic, travel quickly became our favorite way to spend time together. Before we were even officially dating, Tyler suggested a trip somewhere far — but since we were still basically strangers, Tori played it safe and proposed a weekend in Hudson, New York instead. A month later, we took a leap and booked a six-week trip to Aruba — and from there, our adventures never really stopped.

From lazy beach days and working side by side to missed flights and oversized luggage, we learned quickly how to navigate life (and travel) together. Each trip taught us something new — patience, humor, and how to make any place feel like home.

Building a Life Together

Over the past few years, we’ve built a life in New York surrounded by family and friends, and recently made the leap to explore a new city together in Atlanta — a new chapter that already feels like another adventure.

The Proposal

In true “us” fashion, the proposal happened while traveling. Surrounded by family in the Cayman Islands — one of our favorite destinations — Tyler asked, and Tori said yes! It was the perfect mix of adventure, family, and love.

Why Ischia

One of our earlier trips together brought us to Ischia, where we instantly fell in love with the island’s charm and beauty — its winding streets, hidden beaches, and the way life seems to slow down just enough to make you truly appreciate it all. Later, we learned that Tori’s grandparents had spent their summers here, making the connection even more special and personal.

Choosing Ischia — and Sant’Angelo in particular — as the place to celebrate our marriage feels like coming full circle. It’s a destination that holds pieces of our past, the foundation of our relationship, and now, our future together.

What makes it even more meaningful is getting to share it with all of you. Each of you adds something special to our story, and now, you’ll forever be part of what makes Ischia such a cherished chapter in our lives.
